Together with their teachers Ms.Maria Grima, Ms.Graziella Busuttil and the Acting Head of school Ms.M.L.Farrugia they visited the museums within the Cittadella. In collaboration with heritage Malta the children were given four different activities to help them understand the context of each place being visited.

  1. Mock excavation, related to the Museum of Archaeology.
  2. Stone reproductions of a number of graffiti at the Old Prison, of which children made their own copies.
  3. Playing the game ‘Snap’ at the National Science Museum, with the playing cards depicting local animals and plants.
  4. Designing own birthday cards at the National Science Museum, drawing inspiration from the exhibits.

Afterwards the children visited Wied il-Lunzjata where they have seen the diverse flora that colonizes this valley.  The day was brought to an end with a visit to the Azure Window and ‘Fungus Rock’ in Dwejra.  During these activities the children took part in the educational programme ‘Rubini’ that is aired on TV channel Education 22.
