eTwinning National Awards 2009

national-awards-logo-09-copyMalta’s eTwinning National Awards are back! Every year, eTwinning organizes a national contest for the best eTwinning projects of the year. This year we shall be accepting applications for projects which took place during this scholastic year and even during the past one. Please note that each participant can submit up to two projects.

Projects that are submitted need to have been granted the Quality Label. If you still haven’t applied for it, you are still in time to do so. You can apply for this certificate from My Projects section within your eTwinning profile. Click on the Apply for a Quality Label link, fill in the form and submit it. The more material and information you can supply together with the application (soft or hard copies), the better it will be for us to evaluate your good work.

All projects will be evaluated by a panel of teachers and those short listed will be invited for the eTwinning National Awards ceremony which will be held in conjunction with the Embed - Best ICT Practice Awards 2009.

The evaluation criteria will be:

  • The European dimension of the project
  • The amount of cooperation and collaboration between the partners
  • Innovation and creativity of the project’s activities and results
  • The use of ICT within the project activities and in their documentation
  • The outcomes and benefits of the project
  • The integration of the project into the curriculum
  • The project’s sustainability

The National eTwinning contest will be divided into two categories - Primary Schools and Secondary Schools.
