The Malta Feline Guardians Club shall be hosting its 14th International Cat Show on Saturday the 24th of October at the City Theatre, Valletta. Doors shall open to the public at 10.30am and close around 7.30pm.
Participating breeds include Persian, Exotic, Sphynx, Britsh Long Hair, Maine Coons, Nebelung and Russian Blue cats as well as the Maltese Domestic cat. Two WCF all breed judges, one from Italy and one from Belgium, would judge from various catagories. These include Speciality Rings for distinct features within each different class of feline. All pure breeds can also participate in the Show Rings.
Here the two winners from each catagory, neutered cat, kitten or adult, go on to participate for the title of Master Cat in a following Cat Show. Titles will also be given to the best cat within each selected category. At the end of the show two cats would compete for the title General Best Cat.
All members of the public are invited to vote for their favourite cat and for the best decorated cage. With every entrance ticket each person receives a 5 Euro voucher exchangable at Derek’s Garden Centre. Furthermore, prizes are drawn every hour and a fancy dress competion is to be held for all the children present at the show. The theme would be Wizard and Witches and the child with the winning costume would receive a lovely gift.

The MFGC would like to inform the public that applications are now open for anyone who wishes to have his or her cat take part in this presigious show. All entries must be received no later then Monday 5th October. Late entries would be accepted up to Saturday 10th October.
