What are Comenius Partnerships? Part of the Lifelong Learning Programme, Comenius seeks to develop knowledge and understanding among young people and educational staff of the diversity of European cultures , languages and values. It helps young people acquire the basic life skills and competences necessary for their personal development, for future employment and for active citizenship. From time to time, the eTwinning National Support services receives requests for Maltese partners to join Comenius Projects.

As a follow-up to the seminar organised for Educational Officers and College Principals last October, the eTwinning National Support Service has organised another similar seminar, this time for Heads of Department in the Secondary Sector. Heads of Department have more contact hours in schools and therefore are more equipped to help teachers (within their subject areas) who would be interested in setting up an eTwinning Project.

Ms. Agnese Graciotti teaches English as a second language, and works at the Istituto Comprensivo Statale Jesi San Francesco, Jesi, Italy. She has started an interesting project entitled Puzzle of Europe and already has over twenty partners from all over Europe. Ms Graciotti is now looking for a Maltese partner to complete her collage.
