Spreadsheet Skills
All teachers should know how to use a Spreadsheet (usually Excel). A spreadsheet gridded system is used to compute grades and charts and can be used extensively in the classroom. Spreadsheets can be used to create rubrics, schedules and also for gathering numeric data. Charts can visually depict a variety of information and students can also create their own charts, thereby learning higher order thinking skills from this type of activity. Diigo highlights and sticky notes are persistent in the sense that whenever you return to the original web page, you will see your highlights and sticky notes superimposed on the original page, just what you would expect if you highlighted or wrote on a book!

As a student, I always had thought that most of the lessons delivered by the teacher, were simple enough to understand and recall them whenever I wanted. Little did I know that my brain was storing the information only for a few seconds. I only would have realised about this short-term memory issue, when exams were approaching.
