Last December 2011, the Commission launched a website for children about the EU called “Kids’ Corner”. Children all over Europe and beyond now have online access to games, quizzes and information about the EU and the different countries that belong to it. Children can play in their own language – and, in fact, in any of the 22 EU languages.

Our eTwinning project this year, called kinder GARDEN, is a project about the garden during different seasons! Our young students are also learning to love their environment more and are also becoming ”eco explorers”, thanks to the different activities and experiments being carried out. During the month of December, the subject for our project is ”Christmas in our garden”.
On Tuesday 6th December, a princess from a magical place far above the clouds, visited the kindergarden section of St. Thomas More College, Zejtun Primary School A. She was impressed by the nicely decorated classrooms, by the very nice and dedicated kindergarden assistants, and by the charming and intelligent students. These greeted the princess with enthusiasm and together they sang several songs.

Ms. Francesca Luppino, from Messina, Sicily, is interested in starting a project on Mediterranean Cities and would also like to include Malta as an area of study. For this reason, she is looking for a Maltese teacher of Italian language to exchange ideas and information and to start an eTwinning Project together. The language of communication will be Italian, so this project would be a good way to practice Italian as a second language and also to learn about Italian culture, and in the process, also a bit more about our own. If you would like to contact Ms. Luppino you may get in touch with her on the eTwinning Desktop or send her an email on francesca.luppino@alice.it.
For more information, contact the eTwinning National Support Service on 25982150 or email on etwinning@schoolnet.gov.mt.
