Would you like to learn more about the winning eTwinning projects of 2012 ? Would you like to meet the teachers and learn more about their students, their activities and all those things that made their project special? Then join the eTwinning National Awards Project Seminar, on Wednesday 6th of June!
The seminar will be in two parts (Primary and Secondary). You are of course free to attend both seminars, however, it is reccomended that Primary Teachers attend for the Primary Schools part and Secondary Teachers attend during the Secondary Schools Part. Light refreshments will be served between these two seminars.

Is-sessjoni saret fis-27 ta’ April 2012, mill-5.30 sas-7 ta’ filgħaxija fiċ-Ċentru Nazzjonali tal-Kurrikulu (NCC), il-Ħamrun, u mexxieha s-Sur Carmel Azzopardi, il-President tal-Akkademja tal-Malti u kittieb.
Għaliha attendew b’mod volontarju għalliema tal-primarja u s-sekondarja mill-iskejjel tal-Istat, tal-Knisja u Indipendenti u staqsew mistoqsijiet fuq l-ortografija Maltija.
L-għalliema li għandhom mistoqsijiet dwar l-ortografija Maltija huma mħeġġin iżuru s-sit tal-Malti http://malti.skola.edu.mt u jaraw il-mistoqsijiet u t-tweġibiet dwar problemi ortografiċi li huma l-iktar komuni jew jikkuntattjawna.

Saturday 10th of March 2012 was a very busy day for the Contact Seminar – Teacher Teams in eTwinning in Malta. The participants attended a full day of workshops and activities at the eLearning Centre. There was a mixture of eTwinning Desktop and TwinSpace Tools, Web 2.0 Tools and examples of Teacher Teams in eTwinning from the Maltese and Gozitan eTwinning Ambassadors. On Sunday 11th, the participants met for the final and most important day: the founding of new projects between the participating countries.

On the weekend of the 9th, 10th and 11th of March 2012, the eTwinning National Support Service of Malta organised a Contact Seminar in Valletta for teachers from Cyprus, Denmark, Malta, Norway and the UK. The aim of this seminar is the fostering of teacher teams in eTwinning. Registration started at 3pm whereby all the teachers were able to meet and start getting to know each other. This was followed by some ice-breaking activities coordinated by the NSS present (Malta, Denmark and UK).

The eTwinning National Conference and Awards is now approaching! Teachers who have been involved in eTwinning projects during the scholastic year 2011-2012 are invited to apply for the eTwinning Quality Label and participate in the eTwinning Awards 2012. The deadline for applying for the Quality Label is the 23rd of March 2012. More information can be found on Letter Circular CMeLD 37/2012, eTwinning National Awards.
How can I participate?
If you have been involved in a project during this scholastic year, go to your Desktop, click on the Projects section, find your project, and click on Apply for Quality Label. The deadline for applying is the 23rd of March 2012.If you receive your Quality Label by the 14th of April, it means that you are also in the run for the eTwinning National Awards!

The eTwinning National Support Service is organising a seminar for members of the Senior Management Team in schools. College Principals, Heads and Assistant Heads of School are invited to apply for this two-hour seminar which will be held on Tuesday 20th March 2012, from 12:30 - 14:30, at the Learning Centre in Floriana. What is eTwinning?
eTwinning is the Virtual Community for Schools in Europe. Teachers from all participating countries can register and use the eTwinning online tools (Portal, Desktop and TwinSpace) to meet virtually, exchange ideas and practice examples, team up in Groups, learn together in Learning Events and engage in online-based projects.

For the second year running, the Maltese eTwinning National Support Service, in collaboration with the Central Support Service in Brussels, is pleased to offer an online Learning Event tailor-made for Maltese teachers. This event will be hosted by Ms. Marianne Schembri, Expert eTwinning teacher and Malta’s Ambassador for eTwinning. The focus of this Learning Event will be the eTwinning Desktop and online tools. A Learning Event is a short intense course that offers you an introduction to a topic, stimulates your ideas, helps develop your skills and does not require a long-term commitment in terms of your time. It is also designed to be an enjoyable learning experience.
Each learning event lasts 4-5 days of active work and discussion, followed by 4-5 days of reflection and personal work. The materials are online and you may access them during your own time.

The eTwinning National Support Service is organising a competition aimed at classes who are currently engaged in eTwinning or similar collaborative projects and initiatives. Students who are participating in such projects are invited to create a digital postcard to present their projects to others.
